Hello,

I have two bugs detected in HL:S:HD (v1)

1. The animations of the NPC's are played back very fast. Much faster, than it has to be.
2. The glasses of the scientist is not transparent.

Thanks for the report.

The glasses have been fixed, however because of how HL was ported to the Source engine, the animations are linked (to some degree) to the fps.  This makes them appear faster then normal on most of todays machines.  In other words, that is Valve's bug, not ours.  Grin  We are a content replacement Team, so we have no coders and therefore are not equipped to tackle it anyway.

Regardless, thanks for the effort.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Hm...I tested one other HD-Pack before and there I couldn't detect anything like that fast animations.
As I tested this one here, it seemed, that all NPC's have taken drugs or something like that. ^^
But I will test it again and post my results here tomorrow. If you need any more information, please let me know!

A short fraps vid would be cool.  Maybe what you're experiencing is different from what I'm talking about.

It would make things easier if I could see it.

Do you have a decent computer? because that doesn't look game related, morese lack of CPU power.. and god knows Source needs a decent processor.

Well, my PC is not the best, but it is no problem to play source games with normal qualitiy configuration, without performance problems.

If you see something like that in the video, that has to do with the recording, that pushes the fps down, I think.

I have detected, that the animation problems were not there before the HLS:HD pack was installed.
I tested also one other HD pack. I detected no problems!

But as I installed this one, the sci in the entrance hall shakes his head, like a bedlamite and if one npc see me, it turns around so fast like a...I don't know. Well I think you can see that all in the video.
Very strange.
