I went to Russia to visit my family there, an also grabbed a couple of games, the Orange Box, and the Half-life Anthology. I managed to register the Orange Box there, but I got the Half-Life Anthology at the last second, and when I tried to register in America, I said that I can't "register it in my region." If anyone knows what to do, please help.

Get someone in russia to log onto your account and register it, that's the only way I can think.

Orange Box games have IP protection. And games code stores info about country its bought in.You are UNABLE to play ANY game from OB you bought in russia, i had that IP trouble myself.

I'm not surprised Steam hates Russia, you can legally purchase the HL2 leak there in stores... Tongue

Well that's fucking retarded.

Almost as bad as Blizzard saying "yes we devs started by modding others people's games, no you cannot mod ours".

I almost call shenanigans on that, tho.

A game is a game, why the hell should it matter what country you bought it in?

I have no idea what you're talking about, as I already played through Half-life 2 episode 2 from the Orange Box which I bought in Russia.

Well, basically situation was like this.
My IP changes VERY rarely so once it changed, i noticed-NONE of the games (TF2-EP2-Portal) was "available" for my country, but then i had internet crash and it went to diff IP, and all worked. So basically it IS IP protective.
