Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if any of you have tried rigging a custom Half-Life 1 model in 3DS Max? I know that using MilkShape 3D or XSI seems to be the most popular tool for modelling for GoldSrc, however, is it possible to rig in 3DS Max and then just export the SMD's?

I'm fairly sure that you can do it that way, just want to make sure.

Thanks for the help.

AFAIK Valve used 3DSMax to model, and rig their all models they made for Half-Life, so yes - it's possible. You need Wunderboy's 3DSMax plugins (wunderboy.org) to import/export *.SMD files.
