Title: Custom resolutions + WON version
Post by: waqwarrior on November 11, 2009, 01:07:45 PM
Alas I have bothered you with yet another question about making WON more flexible.

It must be possible, from my perspective. The "xxx_textscheme" files show how to align the text, etc. for different resolutions, don't they?
Do you need to create a new textscheme to have custom resolutions (i.e. widescreen, 1900x1200...)

Or does it require extensive coding?

You would need access to the engine code to add more resolutions, which we don't have

Honestly this seems like adding advanced shaders into Gold Source.

In other words, a long-time, tedious, tough ass coding project, eh?

I'm talking about getting WON HL to work on a Win7 machine.... but yes, basically, that's what I think of the whole thing.

Far too much work for far too little payoff.

Lol? You're a bunch of bastards aren't you? The ESF team is working their asses off to make Earth's Special Forces 1.3 (also a HL1 mod) look as good as they can for no payment at all and you are talking about making a HL1 mod for money. You lazy pigs!

Don't bump unless it's on topic, please. It's irrelevant to the topic as well. :|

why don't you wait for Half life:improvement, or you could make your own custom content without the coding replacing the old models. but in some casses makes it look better.
