Title: A dumb question, but...
Post by: Taz on November 21, 2010, 05:09:56 AM
How might one MAKE a mod for Half-Life? I know the Source SDK creates a ready-to-play Steam app, but I want to create a Half-Life/Gold Source mod, so, what I'm asking, I guess, is how to build a mod playable in Steam. I know mapping, skinning, etc, all I need is how to get a mod playable in Steam and I'll be ready.
Thanks guys,
Taz

Oh God! I don't even know what to say. There can't be anything easier than that.

Rather than saying something stupid and pointless

If you want to create a mod you will have to do everything like in Source, except you do it yourself, find the HL SDK, there is still some doc in it that will explain everything

I'm no expert but I think you have to create a liblist.gam and edit it or something.
