AWESOME!

I really like the flashlight effect, can't wait to try ingame.

Is there supposed to be something in the 007 folder in normal sights?

:o OMG,this model is an absolute must have, excellent job toadie!!! :D
(suggestion:you should make a little edit on the origins like 0.000000 0.000000 -2.000000,the back part of the left arm isn't showed, and the reload animation is better ;D)

Is there suposed to be a muzzle flash or did you intend for it to be like that? Anyways besides that Id give it a 10 because there wasn't any good shotgun replacements at all for Half-Life.

Pure sex, the only thing about it i personally dont like is the flashlight lightcone and that just takes a few seconds to make invisible in Jeds.

Not many people mod here, though. You won't get replies from people who have never used a modding program.

at 25 views in the middle of the help desk forum, i'm pretty sure that at least 1 of the MANY people here who make models would have been one of those.

Nope, smds.

You can remove parts of models using the smds. And if you were really patient, you could hack on new stuff as well.

Looks great, pity a true flashlight effect is impossible to do within a model. As it is now, it looks so odd in dark areas and places with outdoor lighting. Otherwise great stuff, really, really great.

Oh, one thing though:

The arms man, the arms!!!

Just edit the .qc file. Put the arms on the list first then the shotgun model. The flashlight effect uses additive so the arms need to go before it to avoid the flatshading.

Excellent model and anims by the way!

Ah yeah its nice looking. I don't like many shotgun animations though because from my experience with shotguns the animations in games look really weak. The kick back should be quick and hard looking and the pump should look like some force is going into it. It's a damn nice model and concept though I give ya that much.

Is there anyway to make the Grunts use it an emit light like a flashlight? That would be really really sweet.

Actually looking through any transparent sprite or model brightens the area underneath said object, thats why if you look through any of the various "steam" sprites, especially in really dark maps, it's like having lambert on all the sudden. So just overlaying a transparent white sprite on the V_ model would make it seem there really was a flashlight working.

You could but:

-Flashlight mesh added to the already fps raping hgrunts = bad.
-Light distance would have to be relatively short. You cant make it too long until it's touching the wall or something because the flashlight will clip into alot of things. Walls, ceilings, through doors, and even other grunts.

I was thinking have the sprite right up in your face, mess with your perspective a bit.
