Uh... it's called "Black Mesa: Source" lol.

List of models:
Barney sd model
Gman besli model

Weapons models sd

Damn, I wish they had a custom SD weapons pack for Half-Life 1  :-\.

Oh well, HL:S owners are lucky right now becuase us HL only owners have to wait for HL:E, or BM:S if we have HL2 but we have to wait even longer for BM:S >.<

Thanks for the repost.  One request however...

Since I've been pimpin' v.2 of this pack all over the place, could we edit the title of this thread to reflect that this is v.1 to save confusion?

T'would be appreciated, thank you.   ;D  :D  ;D

Has anyone thought of just converting HL2 models over to HL:S?

Yes, but that would make Hl look like HL2, which we generally do not want.  We want HL to retain it's look and feel, just be graphically better in every way.  :D

True!! If you want HL:S look like HL2 then wait for BM:S!! ;)

Is that even allowed?  ???

I think HL2 Models converted to HL:S are allowed because it's a Source to Source convert!!

ps: besli i could not fine any texture on the net m8

No problem!
Is someone here registered to the MapCore Forum? I tried but I can't register! :(

Yes, but that would make Hl look like HL2, which we generally do not want.  We want HL to retain it's look and feel, just be graphically better in every way.  :D

Look graphically better as in look exactly like my current HL rather than look like someone actually made an effort to embrace the Source engine's abilities?

True!! If you want HL:S look like HL2 then wait for BM:S!! ;)

BM:S is not trying to make HL:S look like HL2. They are trying to make a Half-Life on the Source engine that has actually had a great deal of attention paid to it, unlike HL:S. The only models they are likely to use from HL2 are a variety of props such as containers, boxes and barrels, and the headcrab model, and are probably going to use eddited vortigaunt and zombie models.

Every thing else is being remodelled by them.

This pack just does not reach what the Source engine can do, let alone deserves.

I only now a bit of modelling ( i have started a week ago) but i want to learn a lot and a friend of mine has recomended me this forums .
Sorry for my last answer , maybe i was a bit nervous.
I have tried to decompile both zombie models (HLS & HL2) but i dont now if the HLS zombie animations are valid for the Zombie_reference of HL2 .I compiled the .qc of the HLS zombie with the Zombie_reference of HL2 but it gives a ragdoll &physics error. Any idea of how to port the models or how to solve the errors?

Don't try to replace the HL2 Zombie animations with the HL:S zombie animations, try to rename the HL2 zombie animations to the same name as the HL:S animations are named.

There is a General Discussion forum for this stuffl.   :-[

It galls me that so few people seem capable of respecting another groups thread, ESPECIALLY after it has been locked twice because of such behavior.

Some of you seem incapable of stopping to think for two seconds.  I'd remark on how childish half of you are, but quite frankly, my children already exhibit more maturity then what I've seen here.

Can we get an Admin to clean this thread so those who need it can actually get some constructive use out of it?

Nope, Im over half-way through playing Half-Life: Source  (im actually at the reactor cooling plant)
But in my folder there are only CS Source and HL2 folders, which i find odd seeing as I have the silver edition and have even recently been playing:

Condition Zero, Condition Zero deleted scenes, Opposing Force and HL: Source and none of these have folders.

Models are great :-), just downloaded them recently. The barneys and scientists look excellent, same for the Gman, but, they need their physics files, and you need to make hand/arm models for the guass... Dont forget the Marines, i was disappointed when i was there were only character models for Barneys, Scientists and Gman. Hope version 2 of the pack will come out soon

Not as of yet... and I'm not sure there are plans for one.

The team has begun beta testing and if things continue to progress starting a site would seem appropriate.  I will discuss it with the team leaders.

For now you can get info in the "Sourdce Engine Discussion" Forum in this thread (http://www.hl-improvement.com/forums/index.php?topic=74.0).  I will keep you updated as best I can, but to tide you over, here are some comparison pics I shot of v.1.

Using Models of HL2 in HLS without any kind of conversion is impossible, I know this because I tried to use the HEV of HL2 in HLS and could not, gave error.

Furthermore, to use some models of HL2 in HLS, as Vortiguants, you had to do ragdolls and other things, that is was hard work.

Well next time you watch the date of the posts you will not bump old threads where the discussion is long time over.

Nobody cared for it it is like you would say hey guys Doom came out...16 years ago did you know? ^^

And then? What is the problem?

I think the point you are missing is that you have broken one of the rules of these forums (http://hl-improvement.com/forums/rules-and-announcements/).  Since you can be banned for any one of these you might read them before you get too cocky.  This one (http://hl-improvement.com/forums/rules-and-announcements/no-bumping!/) in particular:

A classic subject on this board, which causes alot of debate and whatnot.

Bumping 101

A bump is when you post in an old/dead thread, causing it to go to the top of of the forum, meaning that a subject that has been discussed to an end, get's knocked up again. Here I'm going to give you some basic guidelines and rules, so that you don't become the punchingbag of the forum.

    * If a topic is more than a month old, leave it. Noone is probably interested in what you have to say about it anyways.
    * If you see something on page three in Model Releases, don't take your time to write "i like it Smiley". Noone wants to know, and you're just annoying people for bringing up an already passed by topic

If you see something you want to download, but the link is dead. Do Not Bump. Instead you:

    * Send a PM to the Author. There's a handy little personal message system on this forum, but I'm not going to explain it to you. Just send the author a PM and ask if he/she has a link to it.
    * If the above does not work (the author doesn't reply, he/she doesn't have it) Make a thread in Request and ask nicely. (Please read my Guide to Requests)

If you find a topic that's like three weeks old. Please think before you post in it. Will your post bring anything new to the discussion? Or are you just going to post "I like it"? In either case, think before you bring back an old topic to life.

Lastly but not least, the Request Bump.
When some people make a request, and doesn't get an answer, they bump the topic.
Now, the reason noone has replied to the topic could be the following:

    * Nobody knows, therefore has no reason to reply.
    * Nobody thinks your request is worth wasting time over, and has no reason to reply.
    * Your title is something like "PLZ HLP", and people doesn't even bother looking inside.

Ai, ai, ai, ai........  ;D

I did not know, incidentally, is that I never read the rules of the forums. But I did not know, that's why I asked what the problem is, but now I know and many apologies to all.

A well there at all.
