Conversation / Re: Is HIT dead?
« on: October 25, 2016, 11:07:18 AM »
I loved this forum. Probably my most favorite in general. Lots of fond memories.

EDIT: Is there any chance we could rebuild this place all over again? You know, get the old people back (or at least as many as we could) and bring back the goodness? Now, I know there's HLC forum, but that simply isn't the same thing, at all.

Miss the old days.

I'm surprised somebody's actually still visiting this place... It's been more or less dead for a while now. Every activity was moved to HLC which I sadly don't like much...

Game News / Re: The dissapointment known as MW3

Games vary so much because of our different tastes. If we all liked the same things, there wouldn't have to be so many genres and companies.
And it would be pretty boring world with people having the same opinions and tastes.  ;)

EDIT: Haha, that's actually hilarious! :D

These CoD players probably weren't CoD players at all, otherwise they wouldn't say that kind of crap. I finished MW 3 last week and enjoyed every part of it.
Of course, it's a matter of opinion, but the whole bloody series has a great story, beautiful graphics, catchy gameplay and fantastic soundtrack by Hans Zimmer.
Every game has some flaw and MW 3 is not an exception, but you can hardly make a perfect game.
And since I'm not some hardcore fan of MW, you can clearly see it made an impression on me (which is actually pretty hard).

If these kids want to buy some medieval fantasy nonsence, be my guest. It's their own loss.

I honestly don't have any personal suggestions.
One thing is for sure though: However you decide to solve this situation, I'll always be here, silently watching all the happening around me.
If there's a necessity to create new forum in the future, I'm willing to start from scratch again. ;)

Half-Life: Enhanced / Re: This mod is still alive?

I agree, I like Goldsource more than Source.
Anyway, I'm sorry I can't help you.

If you want to see ragdolls in HL1 so much, try HL: Source.
Enhanced still isn't ready for any release.

I played the second one, but that was a long time ago. I got stuck in a third level (if I remember correctly) just because I didn't know what they meant with "boulder dash". :P

Game News / Re: Duke Nukem Lives!..Er might.

I see. But tell me, what sense would it have to show players something not polished? It might disappoint them and change their impression just because of that. Cause I guess I'm not the only one who didn't realize it's E3 demo.

Here they are, slightly modified by me (changed some heads for bigger appearance variety).

It didn't seem too bad to me, but yeah - it's not that great. Performance and graphics are good, gameplay's not as much fun as in DN3D. I agree with what Lewrid pointed out.
I decided I wouldn't buy it for now. I'll just wait till it's little cheaper (and there also exist some other ways  :-X).

Hope it turns out well. To be honest, I don't expect it to be something special, but I also don't expect it to be bad.

I remember I used to have problems too. I'll take a look and try to find out where the problem might be.

This is one of these I trust. That should do.
Try it and tell me if it worked.
By the way, added you to my Steam friends, if you don't mind.
