Hi all! It's nice to see that there are still some people watching this Forum! ;-)
Because it's mostly dead too! :-D
Yes, it's a long time without an update. Sorry.
I'm still alive and working on some new stuff.

Visit this Forum:

Cool, what project are you working on there?

I haven't been here for a very long time, but I want to say something.
Thank you for releasing this.

I have been following the process of various mods, mostly ending up as dead.
However, I've never seen a team-member releasing the work-in-progress files before.

So thank you for this, again. Actually, this pack, not completed, is perfect for me. It offers everything I missed in the original Half-Life and I really like the new models.

I don't know if anyone will ever read this, however, thanks for launching and keeping this project alive, even while it's dead :)

Great to hear, thanks for taking the time to say so.  Much appreciated.

does anybody happen to have our original content for this mod (by original I refer to the pack that was uploaded on the front of this page).

Hey Flynia!  Good to hear from you!  I updated the original post with an updated and working link.  I also shipped you off an email just in case.

We have to do some catching up my friend, it has been TOOOO LOOONG!

Thanks for reporting it Shotg, saved me from doing it.

I can't tell if the guy is seriously trying to distribute, or just trolling.  Either way, if he wants attention, I'll give him some attention.  >:-|

Love the game, but then I was (am still) a huge BF2 fan.  The tracer dart almost makes it too easy to shot down helo's but they're supposed to be addressing that in the R8 / R13 patch.

Played through this game a couple times now.  The story is so-so, a bit short and could have been developed more in my opinion, but the graphics are second to none, the atmosphere is creepy and the sound is completely immersive.  Game play is relatively diverse and fun; there is both all out gun fights and silent stealth, not to mention some vehicle sections.

I'd have to recommend the game.  For those interested I have several more DirectX 11 screen shots here.

Well, there has been a gratuitous amount of media released since my last post.  One of the guys on the ME forums started a google document with all the links:

He does a pretty good job of explaining content and warning for spoilers.  On that note, a lot of the links include a ton of early in the game spoilers since the 12-22 embargo lift, so be fore warned.

You can see most the videos on his Youtube:

The game has gone gold, so it won't be much longer.  January 26th in the USA and the 29th in the UK.  Enjoy!

I suppose I can disengage my lurking device for one post...

Warning, full size = 7680x1600.

Here are some Eyefinity shots if anyone's interested:

Modern Warfare 2

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

HL2: Ep2.

There's more in my Screen Shot Thread.

Ok, I haven't been here in a while so a little clarification seems to be needed:

The pack I released on page one was worked on by Barnz, Sgt.Wilko, Flynia, Besli, Sappy, H4wk and myself... with a few guests along the way.  All that should be in the Readme.  These are the only ones who were part of HL:S:HD.

Since releasing the pack REHAN and Shotgunny have done additional work on our HL:S DM models to get them to work.  If there are additional people working on them I am unaware, so forgive me if I miss your name.  Regardless, these gentlemen are not part of HL:S:HD, but have done it a great service imo.

In the end, so long as everyone is properly credited, I don't think it matters who works on what.  I would however suggest any naming schemes are different enough not to create additional confusion.  For example, HL:S:HD was a project that took Ambient.Impact and Romka's work (among others) and converted it to Source.  We did not borrow their name however.  This might be where some of the confusion is coming in.  If you want to take this pack and progress it from here, then I would suggest a name that does not include HL:S:HD, but be sure credits go to us in the readme for the work we did.  That is all I would require.  The rest of the Team may have a say so as well.

In any regard, I want to thank REHAN and Co. for their additional work and for posting it here for us to enjoy as well!  They have my appreciation as a HL:S fan.  :gordonbbq:

Just want to give a shout out to REHAN and some excellent work!  He took this project on of his on initiative and managed to over-come one of our major bugs.  Kudos and many thanks from me REHAN, nice work.

Thanks for the offer... but you just bumped a thread from 2005???

This project has been closed.  You can download what is available here and mod it as you wish (with appropriate credits).  Thank you to those of you who have been fans, contributed and supported.  Sorry it had to end like this.

Awasome! I love it!
Thank you so much!

*Some things i have to say:
-Put it in an installer or in a .7z file.
-Make the security acces scanner thing like this: http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/half-life/en/images/thumb/f/fa/Guard_scanner.jpg/120px-Guard_scanner.jpg

You are welcome, glad you enjoy it.

So far as an installer, etc... perhaps you miss the "project is dead" part?  We will not be adding or adapting anything with these files, but you are welcome to do so yourself so long as we are credited for our work.

Let me do some digging.  These are all old files I dug up from an old hard drive.  In the later stages of our pack we DID have bump-mapped weapons, but I lost a lot of that during a crash/reformat.  This looked like the latest version, but it may not be.

I'll get back to you.  I'm working 12's right now, so time is not something I get a lot of.  Nonetheless, I'll let you know.

Same link as I provided in my previous post.  Like I said, I'll post some comparison shots as soon as I get the chance.  Our weapons also used higher res skins and some bump mapping.

Little mistake, new textures.Stone had his own textures with 512x512 resolution. And its overall better skin then HD:P sorry.

When he initially released his pack, it used the same skins as ours with the only exception being the M4 (we used a different model).  Unless he has released an updated pack and you are referring to it (please link) then they are the same.

I will post some comparison shots after I get home from work.
