Game News / [HL2] BlockStorm

Info:
SDK-Project mods are developed completely without code, just using Valve Hamer Editor and modifying some scripts files. So, what you're going to play is the result of this crazy experiment.

BlockStorm is a remake of the old and extremely famous arcade game Arkanoid. Your mission is to break all the blocks you can see in the screen, that's all. No blood, no guns, just a weird pipe floating and moving in a X axis and a ball with a strange physic movement with no inertia breaking coloured blocks. So simple and funny!

After the combine invasion of earth, the combine believed some humans had potential to become great warriors. They believed that it was possible to pinpoint the outstanding person or persons with a series of tests. They called these,

The Obsidian Trials.

You are a former prisoner of earth, taken from your cell to a Combine Research facility in the arctic. There in the dome used to generate their huge holographic worlds, you are faced with a challenge. You have been placed in a holographic space so realistic that you can't tell the difference between the real world and the fake. Is what you face real, or just an illusion?

The combine have promised you freedom, do you believe them? Do you forge an alliance with your fellow inmates or do you
turn on them and fight to win no matter how many lives are lost?

This is the Obsidian Conflict.

What if everything that went wrong on "A Red Letter Day" was not caused by what you thought?
What if your teleport ripped a hole in space and time?
Now you must travel through time to correct the events and set right your past.

Suggestions / Some ideas

I have several ideas that could be implented into HL:E, now it could be hard and could be easy to implent.

1. Disarming enemies
Not technally, but when you shoot at the weapon of a grunt, say with a shotgun blast, should their weapon drop?
The grunt should now go find a weapon nearby, and then keep on attacking you.

2. Picking up items
Instead of touching, walking over, jumping on an item or weapon, why not use the E button to pick them up?
I mean it wouldn't make sense if you picked up a new weapon by just walking over it.
Also, some times when you have like 98% health, and you can't avoid saving a medkit? So only if you think
you actually NEED the medkit, you'll walk to it and pick it up useing E.

Some of you might think my ideas are harsh, but #2 is definetly possible.

S-Mod is a modification for Half-Life 2 which adds new features, weapons and NPCs.
Why I post this is because I want to share the awesomeness or whatever you want to call it with you guys.
