For you 360 owners, the Halo Wars demo is out for Live Gold memebers.

From what I've played, I kinda like it, even though there is no real base building.

Conversation / Post joo car!

I don't post here much but I figure this is worth a post and maybe get some useful feedback.

A week ago I bought a used Chevy Lumina '97. Excellent condition with only 70,000 miles on it. Under body is rusted but I'm not worried about it.

Anyway, I plan to do some upgrading to it. First project is my stereo. Right now it has a factory installed stereo with cassette player and AM/FM radio plus factory installed 6x9" rear speakers and 5 1/4". Very blah for me being that I like to play my own music and have it LOUD.

So what I need feedback on is for a stereo and speakers.

In dash stereo - 5 11/16" depth
Rear speakers - 6 x 9"
Front speakers - 5 1/4"

I've been looking around crutchfield's site where I was able to put what kind of car I have and have it narrow down my search to the stereo and speakers that will fit my car. This helps but now I need to know what some of them sound like. Today I plant o go to a local detail shop and see what they have stereos and speakers wise that are within my spec range for the car.

Anyone have suggestions while I do some searching on my end?

Conversation / When things couldn't get any better
« on: May 01, 2007, 08:29:45 PM »
Well, for the past week, I have been without a computer. Why? lets see here, first I bought a new Seagate barracuda 500GB HDD which I have not gotten to work. 3 days straight on trying everything under my power and the power of search on the net for a fucking answer has gotten me nowhere. The dreaded, "A Disk Read Error Occured. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart" has been haunting me all week.

After that, I gave it a rest, only to have my computer give me a "No input signal" the day I decided to give up on the new HDD. Wonderful!!

I have tried 2 different graphics cards and three monitors. No luck. I reseated all my components and nothing. I get a beep at POST but no picture. I've narrowed it down to my APG slot of motherboard. Either one I'm getting a new one.

So yeah. That's how things are going. I hope they get better  ::)

Help Desk / Wheels / joysticks / speakers
« on: January 01, 2007, 11:46:42 PM »
Alright, with my new 27" LCD HDTV coming this week, I wanna complete my entertainment (PC and console) system by having a steeling wheel, joystick and kick ass speakers.

I already have a joystick but it sucks. Flying with it in BF2142 sucks ass. It's an Saitek ST290 Pro. I need one that is good for use in any flying game (maining BF2142 for now). I've been looking into getting this one: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2221,CONTENTID=10714. Personal experience using this joystick would be apprecaited. If you recomment another joystick, please do so and why.

For steeling wheel I've been looking into this one: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2217,CONTENTID=6030. The only racing games I have are Flatout 2 and NFS:MW. I plan to get NFS:C but I need to know how a steeling wheel works in any of these games first. If you have reccomendation, please post.

And lastly for speakers I'm looking into this one: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=12254. Right now I have a Altec Lansing speaker system hooked up to my Xbox 360 and a Sony SRS-D21 speaker system hooked up to my computer. I want something with a little more punch than I have now. Again, suggests on a better you think is appreciated.

Model: End Of Days / Valve (bipod)

Fairly newer model. Been done for some time now. Though I'd see if it gets some UVin love.

End Of Days

Note: The model is bad, I know. Stock it probably the worst, maybe someone can do a new one.

NOTE: This is JUST model itself. It has NOT been Uved. IF it is Uved, it will be released here as well.
