I don't care how bored you are, or what your beef is with another member, take it outside. This is a warning to everyone. If I catch any member disrespecting or putting down another member again, he/she is banned. I don't care who started it, if you "flame back" before I catch the thread, you are banned too.

I know a bunch of you are going through your angsty teen stage and you feel the need to have everyone's attention by either making up stories, using excessive profanity, or picking fights. I don't care -- keep it outside.

I generally like to be nice, and I'll help people move/delete topics, whatever it need be, but I've noticed that many of the moderators here have lives, they can't be monitoring the baby pool 24/7. To compensate, when I catch someone, you will be permanently banned.

You can play most of the singleplayer campaign flawlessly. Hosted an 8-man server last night, we went from transtation_01 to coast_03, and then I went to sleep because it was god damned 4 am.

I feel like playing FarCry Co-Op, but there are no servers up. If anyone else has a legit version of FarCry updated to 1.4 with Assault Coop 1.1 mod installed let me know if you're interested in a game. I'd like to host a server for a few hours.

Game News / [HL2] Synergy 2.0

Synergy 2.0 has been released.

Synergy is, as the name suggests, a cooperative Half-Life 2 mod. Synergy was previously known as two separate mods, "DC Coop 2" and "DevCoop". We merged and are now bringing you the best cooperative expirience possible.

The main objective in Synergy, is for all players to complete the given objectives for each level; Escape, Assault, Defend, etc. You work together as a team to finish the level.

However, Synergy also supports Deathmatch and Teamplay (Combine vs. Rebels). We encourage the use of NPCs in any level, even if it's Deathmatch. We try to give the level artists, or "mappers", much more customizability than Half-Life 2 already provides. You can see the Features list for details.

I was playing through Half-Life 1 again (with the Mike and Pete's Half-Life Funpack) and I got a certain point and thought, "Hmm, how many of those friendly npc's can I save?" So I lead all the living NPC's that I could to the very last area before the grunts in Office Complex. So let's just see who can save the most NPC's up to this point with the falling scientist in the elevator shaft. No cheating, no give_monster. It has to be on Skill 3 as well.

Here's my score.

This model is for lack of a better word, perfect. Although lacking face and eye movement, bone weights are present. I have also spent a significant amount of time working on the normal maps, so if you have the time, try to admire them a bit. :D

Synergy, the Half-Life 2 co-op modification makes a beta release today.

Aside from playing the many custom maps, you can also play through most of the hl2 storyline.
However to get the most of the hl2-storyline co-op experience we will later  be releasing the modified singleplayer map pack which will allow you to play through the singleplayer story flawlessly

Our next beta will feature deathmatch mode, and Synergy team-deathmatch mode, which allows you to play team-deathmatch with npc-teammates versus other players and their npc team.
Aside from this the next beta will have new npc's,weapons,items and even custom v_hand models!


We currently have 3 new weapons, including melee fists, sl8 and a flaregun.
Server admins have more options, like map difficulty, and friendly clipping (to allow boosts, or to stop blocking)
Perhaps the biggest feature is the new custom player model system, similar to the half-life 1 system with added features!

What this does is fix that and allow you to select your own custom player model ingame, along with the ability to have a specific set of sounds for each model. Example: Your downloaded Custom ALIENS soldier model could shout "Game over man, Game over!!!" upon death ,  AND at the same time you could have another custom model with an entirely different voice.
