I was doing some digital photography the other night, and took a few low-quality photos of the hazy moon. It was slightly cloudy.

I automatically adjusted the colours for fun, and noticed the glow of the moon had blue saturation beyond that of the ruddy sky around it. It looked like an awesome muzzleflash due to the light region, and I reversed the hues to make the yellower colour centric (with a halo of blue). I took at least three decent shots of the moon to use, so the flashes are differing in exact appearance but similar in theme (which is a good thing for muzzleflashes).

Turned out great. I suggest trying this out in-game. I was experimenting with the heavy-weapons guy assault cannon a lot more than I've ever done before.

What happens when the barnacle learns to adapt to its surroundings? This barnacle was inspired by an event once described to me by a new Half-Life player, who mistook the barnacle tongue for a lamp's hanging string. It has since been dubbed the "ceiling lamp of doom" and then I noticed that the barnacle was in the same area as some actual hanging lights. Inspired by those lights, I went about creating from near scratch the most original barnacle replacement since Half-Life introduced the actual barnacle. Good luck on your journey through BMRF.

Conversation / Red Orchestra, Eastern Front

Red Orchestra, Ostfront, looks to be the one new steam game out to grab my heart. I viewed the trailer, and it appears to be like Call of Duty 2 but cheaper and on steam, while at the same time luckily forgetting those British Royal Pansies and American Cowboys. It's like Nazi-Killing on steam, but for the union (which means the concept is better than DoD ! ) and with a single-player.

In the trailer, it showed switching to many different views in a tank, and wow. It's like actually being in the tank, in a way, for you go to a position and open something up or get down in the turret for safety. Says it will have an online mode with tanks and stuff, too.

The TFC Level 2 sentry gun is loved by hundreds, and hated by thousands. Here's a quickie one-night conversion for HL. It's beefier looking than the regular HL sentry, and I think it fires a bit faster too, but I'm not 100% sure. I did a few sequence changes (turret disappears when killed, will have a deploy animation) to make it more suitable for HL, and I think that it turned out pretty good.

For you noble newbies out there, extract sentry.mdl into:
- ...\Steam\SteamApps\Your@E-Mail.com\Half-Life\valve\models\

Version 2:
- Fixed deploy animation glitch
- Added death animation
- Added hitbox to base, where aliens aim to shoot at it (now it's a fair fight)
- Added a few missing faces to make death animation seem okay

(Note: Changing your player model to "spy" will not help you avoid sentry fire.)

Indeed, a sequel to the Uberpoly Tri-layer patented technology chromasheen effect crowbar. Based off of the late crowbar by Quad.

This has base texture, speckle, and a slight chrome gradient to reflect some light. The entire crowbar is 1672 polygons due to the triple layer on all included crowbar models. I don't spare polygons when it comes to P and W. They should be the same quality as the V. The hand options are HD, LD, and TFC. This item released under the Glorious People's License (GPL) by the community of Half-Life Improvement. Please inform me of any errors/glitches/etc.

The crowbar has returned. Back in black, they say. Now with an improved chrome texture, this HD/LD/TFC handed crowbar is for anybody who wants it. Have you ever refrained from showing a screenshot due to a terrible model selection? Fear no more.

HD hands, LD hands, and TFC hands available. And here it is. I may make a better meshed version some time.
