Suggestions / Re: Heal for barney
« on: February 19, 2006, 10:47:08 PM »
Azure Sheep had a rare medkit you could use for Kate (The female security guard you had to keep alive) I think that would be the best idea if there were Barney medkits, otherwise stick with scientist heals or just let the player watch him die. He really doesn't help much.

Edit: Oh sorry, I didn't notice this topic was so old

Please try to avoid humungous bumps like these in the future, unless you have something extremely important to say related to the topic.

*cough* edit: uh, for those who hadn't noticed, ITS A LINK. http://www.hl-improvement.com/newt/stuff/hle/hle_grunt_crates.wmv .  there.

P.S. : ignore blueness, recording software acting up.
Thanks Matt!

Half-Life: Enhanced / Re: Will it be free

Sephiroth is right in that as long as you own a legitimate copy of Half-Life (on Steam, sorry it won't work on WON) you will be able to play it free of charge.

Half-Life: Enhanced / HL:E Media Soon
« on: September 03, 2005, 06:13:07 PM »

We havent really provided much info as to what is going on, so I apologise for this.  I'm trying to make several pieces of media such as movies and screenshots but it's proving rather hard at the moment due to the huge number of fatal crashes that are occurring for unknown reasons.  I appreciate your patience while we get this mess sorted out!  If I manage to make something of accetable quality I will post it in this thread so watch this space.

p.s.: phil (our coder) seems to have disappeared, so things are going pretty slowly at the moment

Update:Some of the crashes have been ironed out in the latest commit, I'll see if it's in a playable condition then make some movies.  Soon™.

Half-Life: Enhanced / Re: HL-E : Editing Tools

As Matt said the HLMV had to be edited to support ragdoll and the configuration of it.  It will probably be released if people want to create models that will work in HL:E.

The black barneys have got deeper voices than white ones ;)

P.S.: deleted your double post.

Half-Life: Enhanced / Re: Questions of HL:E
« on: August 13, 2005, 09:15:11 PM »

The code for ragdoll is very complicated, and is adapted to be played in single player earlier.  It will need a lot of optimization to work in multiplayer, especially in Sven Co-op when there is monster AI being calculated at the same time.  Currently if you tried to run HL:E in mutliplayer with the ragdoll, it simply would not work.  (We've tried it :))

And about source code release, I'm pretty certain that we will NOT be releasing it.

Ya.  I don't mind that many, and actually find a use for nearly all of them.

Half-Life: Enhanced / Re: Old vids
« on: August 12, 2005, 04:50:36 PM »

I've got a new vid for you all.. it's not very good so it ain't considered news as such but I thought it would be worth posting anyway.  Shows off ragdoll and the brand new particle system that is being worked on.  You should probably ignore the squid shooting into nowhere at the end :P (reason why it isnt being posted as news).
