Mapping / when i hit compile, hammer closes down.

i have no idea whats going on.
i reinstalled 3.4 and i installed 3.5 just to be sure.
any ideas?

yesterday whenever i clicked compile it would do as it should but lately whenever i hit the compile button and click "run" hammer crashes on me, everytime.
this is pretty damned annoying, i had the 3.5 version of hammer so i installed the 3.4 version and its still crapping out on me.

ive been trying for the past few days to atleast compile a cube into half-life 2 episode 2 just to see if i can atleast do it.
but to no avail. what is the mighty secret what am i doing wrong?

direct me to a tutorial that works for you.
ive tried practically everything.

First off, Im not really looking for some help on making this mod.
just some support by getting your thoughts on my idea.

After thumbing through valve's book "Raising the Bar" (which i recommend you get.)
I came across some interesting scripts and concept art, and i was thinking how great
it would be to recreate all of the things that were cut from the HL2 we all know and love.

things such as:
The Cremator.
Female Assassin
Combine Synth Elite Soldiers
Synths (were ingame but werent used as enemies).
Air Exchange.
Combine Factories.
old Coast.

thats all i can think of off the top of my head.
i just want to know wether or not anyone would care for such a mod.

Just three questions:

Is it single player also, or only multiplayer?
Can I run my own server in LAN with it?
WON or Steam?

When you make a server it requires you to connect to a central server (where all your characters are), so no im sorry.

Master-sword is an RPG for the half-life 1 engine (and it works right.)
it has tons of different spells, weapons, armor, monsters and levels to discover.
it even has day time and night time shifts and weather changes.
Visuals are somewhat lacking, but it makes up in amazing coding.
this mod defines "total conversion".

i cant run my computer for more than 5 minutes without it locking up. (CPU problem)
so i have to start over on the flamethrower.

dont worry, some good will come out of this...
ive been redesigning it and it looks alot better now.
