I'm waiting for the DLC and then I'm going to do one more play through with my Vanguard before ME2.  I'll set me character up with all the "proper" choices to start the sequel with.

I do that aswell.. as a sort of way of hyping yourself for a sequel.

Doesn't seem to be many (good) sequels for games I play tho.... *glaares @ Red Alert 3*

Well, there has been a gratuitous amount of media released since my last post.  One of the guys on the ME forums started a google document with all the links:

http://docs.google.com/View?id=dd78xshh_22fvjpmzcj

He does a pretty good job of explaining content and warning for spoilers.  On that note, a lot of the links include a ton of early in the game spoilers since the 12-22 embargo lift, so be fore warned.

You can see most the videos on his Youtube:

The game has gone gold, so it won't be much longer.  January 26th in the USA and the 29th in the UK.  Enjoy!

Mass Effect 2 is definately on my wish list, and probably the first game I am gonna buy in the new year.

But first I really need to upgrade my old machine. Because every game I buy now is going to be low on fps so yeah I think I have to wait a bit longer before buying the game  ;)

Got Mass Effect on Steam for five bucks last night and it finished today, going to play it to help understand the story better for Mass Effect 2 n' stuff (or just to see how the game plays :P)

You're going to want to go into your My documents\Bioware\Mass Effect\config Bioengine.ini and change this section:

[TextureLODSettings]
//TEXTUREGROUP_Character=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_CharacterNormalMap=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_Effects=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
TEXTUREGROUP_LightAndShadowMap=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
TEXTUREGROUP_RenderTarget=(MinLODSize=8,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_Skybox=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_UI=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_Vehicle=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_VehicleNormalMap=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_Weapon=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)
//TEXTUREGROUP_WeaponNormalMap=(MinLODSize=1024,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=0)

That way textures will look the way they should at high settings.

Wow thanks a lot for that! I was wondering why they didn't look even near par for high graphics. Thanks dawg.
