Played through this game a couple times now.  The story is so-so, a bit short and could have been developed more in my opinion, but the graphics are second to none, the atmosphere is creepy and the sound is completely immersive.  Game play is relatively diverse and fun; there is both all out gun fights and silent stealth, not to mention some vehicle sections.

I'd have to recommend the game.  For those interested I have several more DirectX 11 screen shots here.

Just because it scientifically changed name doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Wooodee, I agree. We need to take care of Gods creation but I believe global warming is not man made. But for the unbelievers , they need something to believe in so someone gave them evolution, global warming, carbon foot prints,overpopulation....
Why do people like this exist? Those people are the ones that hold back stem cell research, those people are the reason that gay marriage and adoption is only legal in a few countries, those people are the venom of the earth, the zit on the face of the earth, fuck you, fuck you and your church, fuck jesus and fuck your god, fuck your bible, fuck your church-choir, fuck conservatives, fuck republicans,

Stem cell research with fetuses has been far less successful than adult stem cell research. The adult stem cells work much better.
"Global warming" is a natural process, have you taken a look at history at all?

So everyone that isn't a socialist is a republican? That probably, in some "politically correct" way, makes you a racist.

America's going to fall, woo, no more capitalism in the world.
Hurray for the government taking my hard earned money and giving it to someone that didn't work hard to earn much money. Life isn't perfect, people get different opportunities, "balancing it out" by taking what is rightfully one person's amd giving it to the undeserving is blatantly wrong.

Church choir lolwhut. You DO realize that, minus the issue of abortion, an overwhelming majority of catholic/christians are LIBERALS?

I don't give two shits if you're an atheist, nothing in America's consitution says you can't say God in school. Separation of church and state means there can be no government sponsered religion, that's it.

Not only this, but not all religious individuals are as "bad" as people think, they are Christians, and Bible thumpers, it's wrong to assume all theists are ignorant fanatics, and/or are against all scientific progress, to put it simply, there is a good and bad for almost anything, including non-religious individuals; I have seen my fair share of military-atheists.

whats all this wank here mate?

Im here to talk about post apocalpytic russian shooters, not pre-apocalpytic philosphical bitchfits between 16 year olds.
So ive almost finished my second play through of the game, its kinda not as exciting as the first one, but I was doin it to test my new compter, anyhow im noticing a few graphical glitches here and there, I dunno they seem to be texture issues like when my episode 1 hl2 crapped out wuth some memory issues back in the day its kind of annoying.

anyway so theres been news or rumours about a sequel, I know theres a second book so it would make sense, is anyone else looking foward to a sequel or were people disappointed?

No bitchfits here, just wanted to put something on. *Shrugs*.

Back to the topic, are the physics realistic? and does it have good replay value?

The physics are fair decent, um ragdolls on humans seen fine, but when some of the monsters die its kinda stiff, walking through clothe is pretty cool so are dangling pipes and what not.
Theres not much replay value at all, I mean theres achievements and 2 different endings but the game itself is kind of short, great game though and well worth the 45 dollars I paid for it.

Whenever there's an English translation of Metro 2033, I'll read that then play the game.

The book's times better, which doesn't mean, the game is bad.
