Eyjafjallajökull
« on: April 18, 2010, 03:53:43 PM »

Since the eruption of the volcano Eyjafjallajökull led to a europe-wide air traffic shut-down, the sky here in Germany seems to be unusually clear. I can't remember having such a good visibility for quite a long time without any contrails. How's the situation at your place?

A little dull, but otherwise fine. Considering the fact it is usually dull where I am located.

From where I am in the states it looks like a perfectly regular day. I heard about the volcano though, does anyone know if it's shutting down America/Europe travel as well?

All airports within the United Kingdom have been shut down with all planes grounded, the rest of Europe I am not sure, although I would think they would follow a similar pattern.

Cloudy, more rain coming. Well I live in Florida so there's nothing to complain about.

Senior Executives at my work have been stuck in New York for almost a week, trying to make it back to the UK. :D

Though I overheard one of them tried making their way back via Australia. It didn't work out too well because he's been stuck there for a couple of days now.

Other than that the skies here are clear, and the weather is great.

This is South-East England by the way.
