NEW!!! HL MOD secret projeckt

Hello everyone ;]

I'm proud to present beta screenshots of my mod (with some characters this time XD)


All of this started when i tried to push the gold engine up to its limits.

Fortunetely im still going with new characters textures animations ect

Curentley got (overall the project is 40-50% complete)
5-10 raw maps (checker textured)
5 finished characters with textures and animations 10-20 per character
46 new textures usualy 512x512
3 new detail maps 512x512 (metal, concret, soft dirt) tiled 2x2

(ALL hud weapons will have prerendered textures from HP models like this one)





hud hands rigged and textured
hud pistol rigged and animaded



Game mechanics simble code edited (speed attack range ect)

player weapons
second faster mele weapon
second faster shotgun with new ammo



Soon i will upload some videos of gameplay.
After that i will made a trailer and a ModDB mod profile with some more screenshots.

AND NOW THE PROBLEMS XD

The biggest one is inserting prop models using cycler. the light is just awful (doesn't match the environment);/ and occluding is bad (prop dispers sometime):(

Flashlight on 512 textures looks like 32x32 decal ;/ Is it difficult to code something similar like in hl2?

THE SOUND
im NOT mutch of a audio composer XD. I've been using cubase but for simple audio edits.
Anyone interested in composing audio is welcomed just PM me ;].


That's all i can say for now, will update it in time.
It's my own old project that i will surely finish :>.

I'M posting this stuff erley mainly because of the flashlight and cycler prop errors, hoping somone will help me :(

Of Course i'm opened for new ideas or some cool features if anyone got some :3.

Look at the HL:FX Mod or Paranoia they do have great Flashlight's!

Maybe you should change the name to avoid confusion between this and Gman's Gold Model Pack for HL1.

Got some free time so i thought how to improve some game mechanics.
Recorded a simulation in max and use it as a triggerd animation .

I like the dirty old school look but if you want better graphics effects, why not port to source? At least the lighting is better.

since i don't see a point to start a new topic im puting this hier.
I've been having a problem with bullsquid spit position and cant find how to change it.
As you can see i managed the position for agrunt with the attatchment but bullsquid dosnt use any attatchments o-0.

I don't know coding (only qc editing but that is another thing), but i like the bullsquid, it spits fast :P, and that shotgun omg :O, you need to add shells :P, the only thing is the animations, they are... rare, I KNOW I KNOW, it's a beta, so quit my opinion of your mind.

And, good luck with your mod, dont give up!

I really liked those falling boxes at the beginning, nice physics! I'll be honest though, it's sorta' tiring to see the old HL1 blood and Bullsquid spit sprites. Are you planning on improving the special effects with new code?

Yeah this is just testing state ;]
My primary goals are new fps/nps models textures animations sounds and some simple code modyfications (speed, randomness ect ).
Next comes the mapping. Currently i got 20-25 random maps that  nead too stitching together and scripting ;p.  
60 textures (usual 256x256) and 4 detail maps 512x512 scaled in 2x2.
I would love to include some special fx like the bullsquid spit as particle, normal maps, hl2  flashlight, but im not a programer XD.
After finishing demo/trailer with 65% content will submit it as a mod on moddb ;] hopefully someone will help XD if not well the mod will be simpler ;].

Oh you're still working on this.. awesome! I sent you a message about it a short time ago about it on moddb but I don't think you saw it...
Oh did you? plz msg me again :>
