For god's sake, Gabe needs know, if he release Half Life Episode 3, the sellings of this game will explode, there's like a million of fans waiting for this awesome game.

HL2Ep3 is just a popular game. It'll sell a bunch, then interest will generally taper off.

Now, L4D3?

That's a money maker. It caters to all audiences, all systems. Not that people won't buy Ep3 on PS3 + Wii + whatever else comes out, but far more will buy L4D3.

Why?

L4D3 is coop, multiplayer.
Ep3? The closest it has to multiplayer is HL2DM, which is.. just that. HalfLife 2, but deathmatch. Oh, and synergy, if you consider that anymore more than HL2 Coop mode.

Doubtful we'd ever see it on the PS3, Gabe hates that machine. 360 + PC is all we're likely to see it on.

Doesn't matter either way. I like the first L4D better than 2 anyways. It's more... polished. I like the original cast better. The game is more... fitting of a zombie game, I think. The only thing L4D2 has over L4D is melee weapons, and, vaguely, the plot is more joined - each finale links up with the beginning of the next campaign. And a few small gameplay mechanics (random weapon spawning and picking up all ammo) in particular.

Honestly waiting for The Crossing more than I was The Passing... which still came out about a month + a half after it was due.

Also, the weapon anims suck. L4D's melee is a full swing, like "Get the fuck out of my face you ugly son of a bitch!" while L$D2's melee is a lame downward push, "go away, i dont like you".

All I even care about when it comes to games now is Half-Life, Doom, and Stalker... If it's not one of those I just don't give a shit.
