Hey Crowbar, D.G.F. here.
Long time no see.

I must admit that you're surprising me, I didn't excpected your small project to look that great.
I started a project using the similar technic two years ago on CS1.6, to make it looking like CSS.
I wondered if someone else would come up with the same idea one day.

Keep up the good stuff.

I don't really use Steam much, it's there just to play games really. Do you have msn? That'd be better.

I make all my own textures, so I'll make a wall at 512x512, then half it to 256x256 in the wad and then add a detail at the original size which has altered saturation, brightness and contrast but the painstaking thing is altering those to get it so it looks best in game. What I really need is some way of making it so I can use one setting on all the textures to save time...

add me at msn: harlasser@hotmail.de

Well, some mods use a texture-replacement-technique. But for orignial Half life youi have to write a detail.txt file for every single map.

Done!

Yeah I know you have to write the text file for each map, I just copy the same one and rename it, that's the easy bit :P

I'll be honest, I did not like the pipe, would have preferred a more rusty, fits better to the atmosphere. Also agree with FX8 that the floor is not good there, but would be great to the first room of anomalous materials lab.

Ye, but sometimes i have to write different txt-files for each map because not every replaced texture looks good in every map. The big advantage of using grey wad-textures is that you can easily replace different textures fot every single map.

D3ads, the easy bit can be made even easier with this:

Thank Matt for it.

I really like your progress crowbar (fastest evah?), all we need now is a shadow system and half life is re-done :D

I was making the same thing but only with detail textures (metal detail with metal textures) but now I'll quit it now, cuz i'm seeing a perfection

Good Luck!!

What shaders? The water looks the same to me.

EDIT: Oh nvm. But does that mean that this is going to be a separate mod because of them, and not just a content pack?
