All start when I was boring, and I decided to do a reskin of the w_chainammo model, because the replacements that I saw on some model packages... the model replacement it's just 4 rifle magazines stacked... *cough*DiamonD*cough* (nah just kidding), and I never see a "oldschool" feeling replacement of this model, so I said to myself "let's do this" but I'm very bad modelling, so I did a resking, and here it's.

Credits (If I missed some credits, please let me know)

Crate Texture: HL-fan & ??? (I don't know the MAIN crate texture creator, I just take the base/details from this release http://hl-improvement.com/forums/gold-source-models/(sc4-fassn)-
consistency-fixes!


Bullets textures: Besli & beartraps... Mainly Besli to give me the link to the texture.

Original model: Valve & Gearbox.

I would have much preferred the bullets being modelled out, but okay.

For me it's unnecessary do that, since it's a w_model, and you don't pay attention to the model details, and thanks for the support :P

Pretty well done overall.
I like the belt idea-smart!

Some ideas for improvements:

Well, first thing's first, if it's under 2MB, upload it here as an attachment. That really boils down to preference, but thought I'd pitch in my two cents.

-Remove "$externaltextures" from the QC. It doesn't really need a T model.
-More realistic looking bullet texture. This one looks pretty oversaturated and bright. Same with the box but not as much.
-Replace the "desu" text with HECU. Easier said than done. Haha.

I would have much preferred the bullets being modelled out, but okay.

This from the guy who doesn't like anything more detailed than the HD Pack.

I don't!  :D But seriously, this is an SD model, you should have modeled out the bullets, yo.

If you wanna get into tacticool realism stuff, a pile of rifle mags makes more sense than an ammo box.

Ammo boxes are used to store individual rounds (or a belt for LMGs such as the M60/M249/M240). Individual rounds need to be loaded into a magazine to be used. It's more likely to find a pile of magazines than a box of rounds. :P

With that said... I like the idea. Honestly a whole new model would work better for SDness, because, well, that is a fairly LD model.

Also, agreed with the bullets. Should add a couple loose rifle rounds beside the box for detail.

I was aiming for the classic feel :P.

And I don't know modelling (just a little, but it's near nothing)
