Blue Shift:Unlocked can't find install
« on: November 11, 2011, 01:21:58 AM »

Hey everyone, I'm having a really hard time making Blue Shift Unlocked bat file find my Half Life and Blue Shift install. Tried pointing it straight to the install directory but it just doesn't work. Could someone tell me the name of the file(s) that the bat searches for so I can point it to that directory?

try pointing it towards your Blue Shift mod folder which should be called bshift

then the other one for the extracting goes to the main Half-Life folder

My first bit of advice would be to save yourself all this trouble and just use the installer. If you're avoiding it because it might add unnecessary crap to your registry or start menu, you needn't worry: it's a custom-scripted NSIS installer that does nothing other than extract, modify, and copy files for you, along with detecting the necessary paths from Steam's registry entries.

If you insist on using the batch files, paste the paths and files that you're modifying (have you read the instructions over?) into a reply here, and I'll see if I can see where you're going wrong.
