It's good for your first time in mapping. I see you included lights too :) I can imagine the Terrorists and Counter Terrorists rushing to get the gun in the middle. One thing though. The walls could do with a different texture from the floor texture

Good idea. It looks good. I might try it out. But I can just see it now.. the nubs rush toward the middle to start the Para spam.

You included lighting, I'm impressed already.  Looks pretty fun, a simple teamdeath match layout.  My suggestion, add some vertical challenges.

You should make it a large maze with the M249 in the middle.

What you have here is good for a first map. If I had CS:S I'd try it out.

Well I would download and try it but the account that has my HL2 CDkey registered somehow had its password changed and I'm having Valve work on that but... I kinda doubt I'll ever get that account back. But if I do get it back then I'll try it out.

Radeon 7000 is NOT the graphics card to try out a CS:S map with .. So I cant playtest it..

However, it reminds me of the days when i used to play nothing but funmaps in CS1.6 .. I think it's an aweosme idea mate. :)

My crits are these:
1) You could replace the point lights with a sky light. (Use a skybox and an env_light)
2) You should make the blocks so that they overlap, otherwise some smart arses would just fire through the not-really-there gaps .. Which is quite lame.
3) you could try adding a second level around the edge, like a walkway with stairs up, so that after the initial firefight has finnished, the remaining few players can use height to their advantage.

Hope them crits help ! :)

Quite good for a first try at mapping.
I think I'll give mapping a go, like I've done for animating (:D) and modelling (:()

...We don't download because we can see the entire map in the pictures, and we're not CS:S people. :P

You have to admit, it's visually not too great...

Something else I don't get. I see there is lighting in the map but where is it coming from? I don't see any lights objects on the map.

It's a fun map, it doesn't need reasons. They're just lights.
