Questions of HL:E

Just a few questions i'm wondering about...
When the mod is out, will it be able to be used in other mods? e.g the rag doll and models in Sven co-op etc.
If it is online, will it just be death match or something else =S
Sorry if these questions have already been asked but i'm just curious...

You cant just PUT rag dolls in Sven....

And please stop asking when it will be released.

He is not asking when the mod is going to be released. He is asking when the mod is made available, would he be able to use stuff in other mods. (Though I don't think my wording made sense.)

But like Sephiroth said, you can't really just put ragdolls in Sven Coop.

But I do remember there was talk of the Half-Life Enhanced source code being released when the mod is released, so people can use it in their own mods.  So, if the Sven Co-Op team wanted to put HLE features into Sven Co-Op, they would be able to do it.  But I'm not sure the Half-Life engine could handle all the ragdoll stuff in big multiplayer games.

Hi.

The code for ragdoll is very complicated, and is adapted to be played in single player earlier.  It will need a lot of optimization to work in multiplayer, especially in Sven Co-op when there is monster AI being calculated at the same time.  Currently if you tried to run HL:E in mutliplayer with the ragdoll, it simply would not work.  (We've tried it :))

And about source code release, I'm pretty certain that we will NOT be releasing it.
