I use 22khz at 16bit, and it works fine. I've never managed to get any 44khz sounds to work on the HL engine.

didnt you read posts before you at all? well just do as these said, convert sounds to right frequency. you can use either windows sound recorder, or goldwave.
8bit and 11khz is best sizewise, and 16bit  22khz  would be best qualitywise. both should work.

Make sure your sounds are in the .wav format with the proper settings(11khz 16 bit mono[think that is what it is]).

That would mean probably re-timing the animations.

You can set it to aditive in Jed's model viewer.

If you've Steam HL1 --> no .dlls needed.
If you've WON HL1 --> try to find the transparency .dlls (which you'll never find)

Oh, yeah, and before I forget:

Stop bumping!

DOD was the first game to use transparent dll's, so it came with DOD.
