Eruntalon's right, i've noticed quite a few things aren't right in the game with textures. The pistol released in V1 of the pack had no chrome on the top part, the barrels extension, i never looked at the hands at that time. I also noticed that the scientists' glasses
were not additive, they were solid blue, you had to shine your flashlight in their eyes to make it additive. The crossbow in v1 had a HUGE texture problem or something. When i used it ingame, parts of the model were missing, and this one error would not stop repeating in the console, something about "model=1" must be in v_crossbow.vmt or something. I added that to the vmt file but error did not stop  :-\

Ok most of these have been fixed for version2

The part you need for that crossbow has been addressed... if you wanna fix it now just adjust bowchrome.vmt

in the file their should be a line reading "vertexlitgeneric_dx^" Change that too "Vertexlitgeneric_DX6" and that should do it.

I'll have a look at the pack tonight and see if i can adjust the pistol a bit to make it more "life like"... i too think that it is a bit drab compared to the rest of the weapons we have done.

I'll also confirmed that the glasses issue has been addressed as well.

I'm assuming you are talking about the .357 since the bereta is completely black.  I'll have a look at that, thank you.

I've never noticed that, I'll look into it as well.

We were aware of this one.  It is listed as a fixed bug in the "Bug Status" thread of our "Bug Reports" forum.

Thanks for the heads up, as I said I will look into these and report back.

EDIT:  Once again Flynia has beat me to it.  It's my compulsive organization that gets me.  ;D

Sorry Frrak i was talking about the Beretta, though it is completely black, there should be chrome on the barrels extension. You should compare it with the beretta in the non source version (hd of course)

Thanks for the clarification.

I looked at both and found their .vmt's to be in order and their .vtf's to have the correct images.  I'd test it ingame, but since the latest Steam update I cannot play any of my Source games until I re-download DirectX 9.0c.  Even the copy on the HL2 disk is not recognized for some reason.  I don't know why Microsoft's year old copy is better then my year old copy, but hey what do I know?  Anyway, I'm stuck until my dial-up suffers through the needless transaction.  I'll do some testing then.

Thanks again for the heads up.

Now there is a guy who understands that men are primarily visual!  ;D

I knew what you meant nonetheless.  I think I found a fix, but I won't know until I get the game working again.

Unfortunately I can only move whole threads, not specific posts.
