MP5 from "Doomed Life"
« on: September 18, 2005, 06:02:22 AM »

Ok guys as some of you might have seen I've recently converted a nice MP5 over to HL Source.

The only problem is I cant find the user "Intel" on the HIT Forums at all?

I'd like to release this model in the future but cannot find him :(

What should I do?

Cheers flynia

If you do release it make sure you mention in the readme that you're looking for the author to give credit to.  I've seen this done before.

I've mentioned before, that I took this weapon from the mod 'Doomed Life' - http://www.bladesinger.net/dl/

If you were to dl that, and check its credits then perhaps you could find contact information for the models author.

Hmmm... ok well im not gonna download the whole mod due to dial up internet and a very small 400MB a month plan.

Ii found credits for the following so ill just go with that for the moment and mention in the readme that im after the artist :)

Stay tuned as this will be released after the HLS-HD Beta

Ok ive collected the credits for this :)

Thanks for posting them :)

Now all i need is to figure out how to get a grunt to look like his holding the model as Romkas V5 ones have 9MMAR's.

Has anybody got a generic texture i can use to replace it with??? assuming this is acceptable.

Cheers flynia

Is that Doomed Life mod any good?  Screenshots aren't too impressive but sometimes good gameplay means architecture doesn't have to be that good.

Personally, I didn't like it that well. It was kinda bland. But thats just me.

Doomed life from memory was pretty disjointed and without a very good story, as it did not tie the different styles of maps together. Think of the mod Project Quantumn Leap but crappier (PQL1+2 are good), and without a story.
