Quote

The majorities of the fans, universe Half-Life, were filled unconcealed happiness and impatience, when Valve declared about its plans to let out the port of the original Half-Life for cursor Source. And accurately also the majority of fans was detuned, having first learned, and then after seeing, that the developers let out straight port, having practically anything changed in the original game. After this, very many enthusiasts announced its projects on the realization of the improved version Half-Life called  Black Mesa: Source or Half-Life: Sourced. By similar project, named Half-Life: Source High Definiton, studied children from the famous resource HL Improvement. And moreover, very recently they let out the first beta version of their work. Strictly already on one name it is possible to understand that from itself presents HL:S HD. this the collection of the textures of high resolution and high(ly)-polygonal models for Half-Life: Source, satisfied in style High Definiton Pack for the the original Half-Life, but, naturally, with all by possibilities Source. The authors namerenno not portiruyut any kontenta from Half-Life 2 - this not their purpose. Glance themselves at several pictures:

At the given moment is accessible only first public beta version the mode, which the creators imperatively do not recommend to the installation. (LOL) Most important reason - disappointment. After seeing the unfinished work you, players, you will not be able to estimate entire scale and beauty mode you will be disappointed in many details. Well and, of course, add to this different errors and omissions. However, they published it, warned all, but to draw off or not - your private affair. If they decided, then good to grant on FileSpace - rock.

Thanks for the heads up guys.  I'm a bit irratated by the whole mess myself.  They post news of an obvious beta and then comment on how disappointing it is (if I'm reading it correctly), like it's supposed to be completed work.

I say we revert to closed testing, to include those who have given us the most and constructive feedback.  What say the team?

Closed testing it is :)... the community has clearly proved that it cannot be trusted with this.

I also think that this thread should be split into two seperate topics... "one" Tundras Nini-watever and "two" beta leakage.

Well, a small fraction of the community has proven they cannot be trusted with this.  The majority I have encountered have been very supportive and constructive over all.  It pains me that a disrespectful few have to ruin things for the whole, but some people refuse to think of anyone but themselves.  Little do they care how their decisions affect so many others.  It is a basic truth that is proving itself even here.

Sorry, it was already quoted once, I didn't see the need to relive it.

I think we should keep the model for potential future use, but I don't feel it's ready in it's current shape.

If one of us had the time and desire to give it some serious attention, then maybe... but not until then.

Its definately much better looking than the original, so anything on that level is always better. I think with the Source water and all that in that map the old Nithy, even with HL1 graphics really looks out of place in that room. So im all for the Tundra nithy model.

plus, something that suprisingly noone has pointed out...having more plolys etc gives possibility for a more detailed skin...you could make the ninny look really nice...something never done before cause the crap face has always been low quality..

Don't use it, it looks terrible. A waste of resources with little or no extra visual detail
