The models will get stuck on walls and in the ground. The houndeye ragdoll (which is the original) is fine however and the scientists is except the coat.

<moderating> this is not the area for "this sucks" comments. We are all doing the best we can with models and ragdoll. Please refrain from posting these sort of derogatory comments as they don't offer any help. If you have suggestions we are more than willing to listen to them. If you feel this comment has been moderated unfairly please contact me via pm - cheers flynia  </moderating>

We are more than willing to accept other ragdoll candidates if you guys are willing to do them.

As always we are doing the best that we can. Creating ragdoll for characters is by no meens a easy task.

If you were willing to look into it and provide us with potential candidates id be more than willing to have a look at them.

Time for a "Super-noob" question team... would it be possible to import ragdoll from a half life 2 based model (citizen, combine, or some other character... surely their must be something like this in the SDK) and then adjust the bones in milkshape 3d to reflect this... or am i simply thinking tooooo much :(

Cheers flynia

No you misunderstand... im not looking at bringing HL2 characters into the game... im looking at trying to bring just the ragdoll code into the game if possible and a generic skeleton... is that even do-able? Ii think im thinking too much as my head hurts :(

*Begs and pleads for Wilko to do ragdoll... Plleeeeeeezzzzzzeeeee*  :'( :'( :'(

We Can't manage this without you Wilko... your the only one who has the skills and talent with ragdoll.

On the other side... guys can we be a little more constructive in our criticism please... we need examples of whats going wrong... not just "the ragdoll sucks" comments. Any further negativity will be moderated :)

EDIT:- I have moderated this comment from Hircine's post above as it is totally unecessary and is usually taken very personally on the part of the person who has spent countless minutes/hours/days working on the problem. I've left details above as to why. If you feel this has been removed unfairly please pm me.

The ragdolls do indeed suck but it is a beta afterall.

EDIT2:- May i also state that some of the conversation here is starting to go against the "Respect" section at http://www.hl-improvement.com/forums/index.php?topic=2160.0 . Could we please bring the conversation back in line please and away from rudeness.

Cheers flynia

I've changed the name of this thread to accomodate a more diverse rang of Ragdoll.

Anybody got any news on Ragdoll or new issues with it while we are here?

Lastly... sorry to bump this old topic up the line.
