Please don't post the same question in both the news and on the forums. I've answered your question in the news comments, this once. I won't answer other questions unless they're posted here.

Wasn't it the only problem in this whole game . . . well at least in my opinion. :-\

Thats a bug with the Half Life Engine... it also occurs during the first Half Life when you are traveling down elevators.

Valve have still not fixed this >:(

And they still haven't fixed a load of bugs with their Valve Hammer Editor latest version either :-\ They think that just because they've got a new game, they don't need to bother with the old one anymore...

Sorry about that. :-\
Is using this with Steam's version any different than using this with the CD version?

Great, it works with Steam version of Blue-Shift now.
And the NSIS installer is really convenient. GJ to all HIT team. :)
(A.I., could you share the NSIS script with us?)

Well, there is a sort of logic to not supporting Goldsource now that the Source engine is out. I mean, Source is better that Goldsource in almost every way, and is designed in a way that you don't have to learn a whole new engine, just a few new commands and formats. That said, I would like them to fix the bug as much as anyone else.

Sorry about that. :-\

Generally speaking, no. There may be some minor differences (for instance, the Steam version doesn't have the files for the WON launcher interface), but overall they're more or less the same. Steam might be more convenient, however, than installing from a CD.

And the NSIS installer is really convenient. GJ to all HIT team. :)

Glad to hear that you like it. I'll discuss your request with the other people involved in the project. (Mostly Matt)

Just got a problem, in map "ba_yard5a", after I jumped out the train and killed all soldiers, Dr. Rosenberg died without any reason. Is it a bug?

That happens in mine a lot, I don't recall it doing that in the old WON version though.

I think that was a bug that was fixed in the patch for the WON version. I think I encountered that once, myself. Looks like Valve might not have even used the patched files . :(

Thanks, it was the bulk of the work that I did on this patch. 500+ lines of script. I'm quite proud of it. :)

Speaking of which, here's the installer script, which NovaRain requested to see. Being the vain bastard that I am, I'll post it here for everyone to download it. :P
Please note that the content and other things are not included, so you'll need to figure out where those go, if you want to compile this without and changes to the script. We don't keep everything in the same place in our repository. Tools, the readme, and other things are not located in the content folder. Otherwise, it's well commented, so things shouldn't be too hard to understand, if you know the NSIS syntax.

P.S. - I recommend an editor with syntax highlighting to view this, as with all script and code files. Venis IX and HM NIS Edit are two good ones. I use Venis myself, by the way. There's also an optional NSIS script highlighter for ConTEXT, available on their site.

I see, will there be the fix about that problem (for Steam ver.)?
And thanks for the script files, it could be a great reference example for writing NSIS installer. :)
