Why not just use the download utility that comes with your internet browser?

You dont need to download the manager, its just a script which allows us to easily add downloads without messing about with HTML every time. You should just need to click the link and it should download. If not then make sure you dont have a pop up blocker enabled(the system has a pop up)

Once i get time, i will write my own download manager for the site which shouldnt need that pop up

Does using antialiasing and antritropic cause any problems? I kept crashing for some reason.

hmm nevermind the problem went poof on restart of the system.  Now that my blueshift is unlocked, where can i get some mods for it?

What does it do? Besides making the HUD blue? And that menu thing?

Ok I've already posted something in the help desk, I wasn't aware of this thread so sorry about that :( So here is my problem: I downloaded and installed BS:U into my HL directory (for my steam version) and restarted steam. In third part mods was Blue shift:Unlocked. I double click on it, and it says the game is unavailable, try again later. So I think aaaah screw it I'll just play some TS. Same thing happens. The same pop up happened to all my third party mods actually. The rest of my games work, just not the mods. :(

That's strange. Steam sometimes screws up your games to do weird things. Did you try restarting Steam and/or your computer? One time Steam had the audacity to tell me that all of my bought games were not paid for and that I had to buy them. That was annoying. I had to restart to see them all back to normal playing ability (to my relief).

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but...

I'm having a problem with playing Blue-shift. I used BS unlocked 1.1 and then extracted the Steam HD pack fixed version (d/led from fileplanet) as per the instructions. I launched BS as a 3rd party mod. I see the menu fine. But when I launch a new game the game crashes with a model not found error (models/ball.mdl not found). When I launch the training map it says "models/barney_helmet.mdl not found".

Regular BS loads fine for me and I do see the high definition models in HL and OpForce.

Any help here would be appreciated :)

P.S. I have in the interim restarted my system but my problem remains.
