Play HL:S you must be joking, I still play HL with the HD pack, looks better, runs better, and even acts better. Can't wait for this, it makes the HD pack look like Doom1.

/offtopic Why all the hatred towards HL-S?

I'm betting half of you that hate it so much haven't even played it.  It's fun.  And the objectives of this and HL-S are different.  You can't necessarily compare one another.

HL-E is a completely remastered experience, kind of like watching a movie out of 2 speakers, then watching it with 5.1 surround sound in HD-TV.

HL-S is an experiment that remakes Half-Life with new physics, lighting, and water.  That's all.

Those pictures of the tram ride are amazing.  But, I do notice a drop of FPS, probably a side-effect of all the detail.  Right?

Not really, depends on the computer its run on. Of course it would run slower on a 233mhz though, but i can get a pretty constant fps

My previous computer was 233mhz, that hardly plays HL WON at all.

I'm worried whether my pentium III 750mhz will handle it.  16mb graphics card, 256mb ram.  It couldn't handle doom one with replaced textures and models and stuff.

You'll probably get about 10-20 fps. Those PC specifications bring back painful memories.
