Help: HLS
« on: October 12, 2006, 07:45:14 PM »

I dont belive this has been posted but i have a bug with the scientist
One thing is could you rehost the new scientist with the fixed glasses
two how come when i kill a scientist i cant move over his body or move it with a gun? It's gotten anoyning and i dont like using impulse 203 to remove him and i dont like using noclip that much! also this line comes up in console:
Material models/v_crossbow/bowchrome is being applied to a model, you need $model=1 in the .vmt file!

Thanks    8)

Not sure what is going on with your Scientist.  I have never seen it do that.  The new Scientist with the fixed glasses will be included in v.2.0.

The crossbow fix can be found here.  This quote should give you the solution you need:

Quote
Crossbow “bow” now correctly rendered - Applies to HLS HD Version1 Pack only
Can be changed for version one users by opening materials/models/v_crossbow/bowchrome.vmt in notepad and replacing "VertexLitGeneric_DX^" with "VertexLitGeneric_DX6"

Version 1 of the pack does not include ragdolls. Thats why you can't move it. Version 2 will include them.

Good catch Sgt Wilko.  I thought he was saying he couldn't pass by or "move over" a dead Scientist like it's body would some how create a barrier in the game and therefore he needed to remove it.
