How the hell can Gordon breathe at Xen?
« on: December 03, 2006, 07:38:44 PM »

Before you go to Xen, then you will get this longjump. But before Gordon goes to Xen, his not going to have any HEV helmet, so how the hell is he gonna breathe at Xen? So i was thinking that there could be a suit with a helmet in the little supply room where you meet a scientist and a security guard (uhmm behind them).
Sorry if this is already been said.

Compared to the gravitational pull experienced on Earth, Xen is notable for having somewhat reduced gravity. However, given that Xen is comprised of low mass asteroids, it is surprising that there is any appreciable gravitational pull at all, let alone a sufficiently strong pull to retain the breathable atmosphere encountered there.

From Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xen_%28Half-Life%29

Xen does have a breathable atmosphere. The scientists were just wearing helmets in case there was no atmosphere. Plus, didn't Barney survive on Xen without a HEV helmet let alone a HEV suit?
