Quick fix or not? Entering AM
« on: February 02, 2007, 10:05:16 AM »

I just plotsed through the start of BM and I just noticed something poxy that might be a quick fix, but im not sure... when you first get off the tram and head towards the first security door the huge beam that retracts is kind low poly and looks pretty bad, but when you goto the next door (at least in my version) the huge beam that retracts on the second door is at least twice as detailed.

So a question and suggestion in one bundle, how hard would it be to get the more detailed beam from the second to the first, im assuming its part of the map.

We've noticed that as well, however those are part of the map.  That means we would need to be able to decompile the map, replace the item and then recompile it again.  Valve has not released the map files for HL or HL:S and until they do we will have to suffer with the low poly entities.

Thanks for input and interest nonetheless.
