Coding/Converting weapons from existing game to HL Mod?
« on: March 05, 2008, 07:02:25 AM »

Hey, I've had a look around and I couldn't find any tutorials and whatnot, so I thought I would come here.
Does anybody know of any tutorials telling the user how to convert weapons from an existing GoldSrc game/mod, eg. Day of Defeat & Counter Strike, to a Half-Life mod? An example of doing so would be the mod Counter-Life.
Any and all help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.  :)

If you're converting CS models to Counter-Life, you just have to mirror the model with GFlip, then drop it in the models folder.

I think he means the code rather than the models.

There is no real way of 'converting' them from other mods. You need to recode them yourself
