Mounting Content?
« on: March 31, 2008, 08:47:28 AM »

I've had a look at the information on mounting content that is available from the Valve Developer Community, but I'm really no good at interpreting stuff like that, and it makes no sense to me.
How exactly would I go about mounting Day of Defeat: Source and/or Counter Strike: Source content on my mod? (or Half-Life 2 for that matter)
I would very much appreciate it if someone could take the time to explain the process.
Thanks very much, and sorry if the question is rather 'noobish'.

Open up your Mod's GameInfo.txt (which by default should be in your Mod's Root Directory)

Go to the line that says

      SteamAppId            215

For CSS content add this line
      SteamAppId            240

For DODS content add this line
      SteamAppId            300

Just reading through *this article... it seems you might be able to set up a Goldsource mod in the same way

Ok, thanks. I'll see how it goes.
You mean add the new line underneath the original, right?

Oh, and sorry if this seems noobish as well, but how would I go about getting the content to appear in my mod's SDK profile? (hammer etc)
Thanks very much.
