Animating in milkshape
« on: August 31, 2008, 02:21:50 PM »

Hi everyone, today i am going to teach you how to make a simple animation.
Lets begin with opening milkshape.
Lets meet... mr bone

i drew him whit the "joint" tool, you can draw him yourself or use mine mr bone linked at the bottom of this post
Now,press the "anim" button like below

you can do this by rotating and moving around the bones around.

"but wait it looks like shit", try adding some detail like breathing, let the arms spin around etc...

now, here is a link to mr bone and a simple run animation you learn in this tut,
http://files.filefront.com/anirar/;11657948;/fileinfo.html

now you know the basics of animating, you can create other animations like swimming, shooting, ...

good luck
and enjoy

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but you should follow a few animation tutorials yourself before making your own.

I wouldn't recommend Milkshape as an animator. Animations made in Milkshape look jerky 95% of the time. I'm sorry, but your animation just doesn't look good.

actually it is a good introduction to the sort of tricky layout in milkshape when animating.
